The expectation is that you are asking yourself questions as you read.

Please choose an appropriate book, magazine, or other material on a topic of your choice. Read for at least 20 minutes each night. Active readers ask questions when they’re reading. Do you sometimes ask questions about things you don’t understand, like unfamiliar words or ideas? Do you ever question why a character does something? Do you ever want to know more about a topic that a book introduces? As you are reading, and questions come up, be on the look out for clues and answers. You need to use other resources to answer your questions.

Writing this week (Aprox. 20 min. per night):

Turn in your writing homework notebook on Friday.

Prompt: Work on your science fair project. Do not start making your poster until you have all of your research completed. Remember, poster and oral presentations are SUMMARIES (so you need to know what you’re summarizing!).             SEE THIS WEEK’S ASSIGNMENT ON THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE!
