Science Fair/Culminating Project Update
Thursday, April 26, 2007
- Reminder: We will have a one-hour science fair/culminating project workshop this Friday. Please be sure to bring the rough draft of your write-up and your orange folder.
- Every student will receive a science notebook on Friday. This can to be used for rough drafts, drawings, charts, maps, data, notes, and bibliography. Many of you have exciting things to draw and make detailed diagrams about. The journal is a great place to keep track of these drawings. Of course, you can do most of this on a computer if you have access. You may choose to only write your final drafts on the computer. It’s up to you! The most important thing is organization of your research, writing, data and ideas.
- I have seen some great science project display boards for sale around town. Fred Meyer has two sizes now. Most students have found the larger size to work better. Students are always amazed at the amount of information they have to display by the time they are done with their experiment!
- By this weekend you should have a final draft of your science write-up. Then, next week it’s time to gather supplies and start your project!
